Marionvale working dogs is a small stud in Mount Helena, Western Australia, breeding and trialing quality working Kelpies and Border Collies. Marionvale Kelpies are renowned for their calm biddable nature and clean heading ability.

Stud owner Simon Leaning has put together a team of high class dogs who successfully compete in Yard, Utility and three sheep sheepdog trials.

The Marionvale dogs are selected for working instinct, conformation, stamina, heading ability and above all temperament. Rigorous assessments on the dogs ability is undertaken to ensure only the best are used in the breeding program.

The team is trained to the high standard required for open sheep dog trial competitions but are also assessed in contract mustering, cattle work and general farm work. The Marionvale dogs have homes across Western Australia as pets, agility dogs, obedience dogs and of course where they are most valuable in working homes.

Marionvale dogs have been exported to Asia and the United States.

In breeding Marionvale Working dogs Simon has attempted to consolidate bloodlines to develop pre potent breeding stock to ensure consistency in lines. This increases the opportunity of breeding true to type and consistency in working ability.
